Fujiwara Ikuro Profile Born in Yokohama, 1958 Fujiwara Ikuro is a talented artist, who composed and arranged many songs for various artists, and also known as a brilliant music composer/producer of sound tracks for TV dramas and movies. Particularly his creative orchestral writing that mixed and harmonized pop music and classical music is highly acclaimed from around the world. Fujiwara Ikuro has been deepening musical relations with Moscow International Symphonic Orchestra since visited Russia for recordings, he has studied conducting technique under Konstantin D. Krimets, who has been a bandmaster and a founder of that orchestra. After that Fujiwara Ikuro had experience as an assistant conductor and composer of Moscow International Symphonic Orchestra.  In October 2005, Fujiwara Ikuro's solo piano concert was held in Moscow and his piano performance of original music composed by himself, as a Japanese composer was praised as an exceptional achievement. He was invited to International Organ Competition in 2007 Kaliningrad, as a guest music player. He has since maintained close relations with Russia. He has recently expanded his musical activities into Asia, he conducted Tokyo New City Orchestra in Japan-China Music Festival held at Shanghai in November 2007 and also played his piano solo concert at Pusan and Seoul. In the "Symphonic A" Project started in 1998, Fujiwara Ikuro has produced the music concerts fully blended the orchestra and pop music in collaboration with many famous J-pops singers such as IMAI Miki or YOSHIKI. Fujiwara Ikuro will be on ASKA Symphonic Asia Tour as a music director and conductor in this April and around the same time his piano solo concert will be held in Singapore. His recent works provided to for Japanese TV or film were TV drama "ITOSHI KIMIE" and Film "CURTAIN CALL", "ONAJI TSUKIO MITEIRU" and "DEAR FRIENDS", and Fujiwara Ikuro attracts a great deal of attention from throughout Japan and Asia, also as music producer for an Asian film.
